Tarot Goodness for the Week of January 30th-February 6th: The Anchor

This sense of order is quite a stabilizing force.  Well, the Anchor is a stabilizing force especially in our professional and educational pursuits.  Of course, our relationships and connections benefit from this energy as well.  The more organized, prompt, committed, productive, and efficient we are this week, the more we will gain out of everything we do.  And we won't need to venture out too far either (not sure why many of us believe our happiness and success is always somewhere else).

Some of us may need to be a rock right now.  Or we may have ourselves a rock to lean on.

Or we may learn real damn quick that in order to feel stable and be successful, and to be a part of something stable and successful, we need to work at it.  Blood, sweat, and tears, my friends.  This card is not about laziness, entitlement, or half-assery.  It is about effort and time and discipline.

I think some really wonderful relationships could bud or begin to develop this week, though.  Particularly if they involve folks who have known each other for some time because trust (perhaps interest) and familiarity is present and apparent.  Foundations will be strong, for the long haul.  Not to mention that some are 'getting there'.  That is, where they'd like to be or where they know, and feel, they need to be.  This is good because starting anything off on the wrong foot, or before we're ready, or before we're able to devote ourselves to something or someone, this week will turn out to be an all-around awful idea.

Take things slow.

With the Anchor popping up, I wouldn't take chances on new responsibilities, endeavors, or on testing any waters.  Just do what you know you're supposed to do, or what is expected of you, or what you're told to do.

Work on establishing or strengthening yourselves in some way.  Endurance will be key.

Climb or hike if you can.

Adding on any more tasks to our current lists, or not asking for help or guidance when we need it, will create a burden.  And it'll be all our fault because no one will be taking advantage of us.  We might feel overwhelmed and exhausted if we don't say "no" to certain offers or requests.  Don't be afraid to say "no", ask for help, and/or admit that you have enough or too much on your plate.

And let's take a step at a time and be cautious (especially if traveling by sea, swimming, doing anything by, on, or in water).  Some of us do not have the luxury of throwing caution to the wind this week.  This is not a time to be impulsive, irresponsible, a partyer, or to allow frustrations to get out of hand.

Safety, vigilance, and self-control should all be a priorities.

Steps should be sturdy.

Time should be managed well.

Rewards include fulfillment, accomplishment, growing-up, even financial boosts for reliability and consistency.

Keep in mind what the purpose of a current mission is.  It is likely we are to learn something valuable but we are certainly on a mission.  It would be stupid to miss the point, the fun, and the opportunities to earn respect (or establish self-respect), climb new and better heights, and see the world (or at least what's right in front of us) with fresh eyes.

Settle in, settle down, get comfy and used to things, cause we're gonna be here a while, folks...

Have a great week.  Rock on.
